Krasnoyarsk region is one of the richest regions of Russia, possessing a huge natural resource, industrial and scientific potential.
There are more than 6 thousand deposits of various kinds of minerals, almost all platinoids of Russia are produced here, as well as 81 % of nickel, 71 % of copper, 50 % of cobalt, 28 % of aluminum.
42% of Russian resources of lead, 24% of coal, 13% of gold, 6% of silver are concentrated in the region.
Krasnoyarsk Region stands at the 2nd place after the Tyumen region on the total stocks of oil, natural gas and condensate.
The region is the center of the largest industrial enterprises, such as MMC Norilsk Nickel, OJSC RUSAL Krasnoyarsk, CJSC Polyus, OJSC SUEK-Krasnoyarsk, OJSC Krasnoyarsk factory of nonferrous metals named after V.P.Gulidov, Unitary enterprise Krasmash, etc.
The largest investment projects of Russia are carried out on the territory of the region.
The Vankor field was launched on August 21, 2009.
The Vankor field oil reserves iclude 3,800 million barrels and 95 cubic meters of natural gas.
Volumes of investments during 2010-2012 years will make more than 300 billion roubles.
Besides, in the end of the year the project aimed to the development of the Tungus coal field Tungus coal ?Ђ" the new energy of Siberia was worked out.
Active work on new technologies introduction, technical re-equipment, modernization of all Siberian enterprises are conducted.
