A wide range of stakeholders in both the public and private sectors have committed to reduce their energy consumption significantly in the coming years. Buildings are one of the largest energy consumers in society, accounting for 40 per cent of energy consumption in Denmark - so there is good reason to get started. Green and sustainable buildings should be self-evident - and is a prerequisite for achieving the ambitious but possible goals for a significant reduction of both energy consumption and CO2 emissions.
