Planning, Design and Delivery of Future Airport Infrastructure to Enhance Passenger Experience and Maximise Revenue Potential
The number of passenger movements through all Australian airports is forcast to increase to 279.2 million by 2030-31 with an additional 37,463 passenger aircraft in service, which is over twice the size of today's fleet.
With the lead-time for new airport construction taking anything from 5 to 20 years depending on location and the dramatic increase in tourism in and out of Australia, the industry is challenged to future-proof airports and increase passenger capacity for ever busier times ahead.
With that in mind, next year's Future Airport Development summit will focus on:
Designing and developing airport infrastructure to support travel growth and meet customer expectations
Integrating new technology for effective airport operation, better security and passenger experience
Enhancing stakeholder interaction for with airlines, government and commercial occupants for optimal commercial output
