With the problem of plastic waste becoming more critical by the day, it is important for all members of the plastics industry to look towards more circular practices. As the Asian region is a major producer of plastics that are used both internally and shipped worldwide, it should be helping to lead the drive towards a more sustainable system. Therefore, there is increased interest and investment in the region which aims to accelerate the transition towards circularity, improve recycling rates, and allow producers to incorporate more recyclate into end-products.
AMI are launching the first edition of Plastics Recycling in Bangkok, Thailand on 6-7 March 2024. This new event brings members of the plastics and recycling industries in Asia together to make new connections, discuss the challenges they face, and form collaborations to help them overcome these issues.
Recyclers, waste management firms, brand owners and thought leaders will showcase their latest projects, innovations and strategies for achieving a circular plastics economy in Asia.
