As the world looks to transition into a decarbonised future the call for sustainable energy is becoming louder. Whilst fossil fuel developments are under pressure owing to climate commitments, renewables are not yet fully developed. In these times, the oil and gas industry is reprioritising its Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) goals intending to deliver energy sustainably. The broad consent for global energy transition is one of "cautious optimism" but with a clear recognition of the work still needed, especially concerning the global temperature rise and emissions targets. The SPE symposium on Asia Pacific Energy Transition will discuss and deep dive into how oil and gas companies can shape the future energy landscape sustainably.
