Smart grid is a key to realize both low-carbon society and sustainable economic growth. This encompasses wide variety of industries including introducing renewable energy on a large scale, information technologies controlling efficient energy supply and demand, equipments visualizing usage situation of energy etc. Spread of smart grid will be a tool for building new infrastructure and urban development, namely Smart Community or Smart City.
'Automobile industry, which has long been led the Japanese industry, is in a transition period. Automobile manufacturers, these days, are engaging in developing more environment-friendly vehicles. It will occur major shift in structure of the entire industry and system.
'Japanese enterprises have competitive forces in elemental technologies and system construction that composes smart grid or automobiles for next generation. Intensive competition will be expected among Japanese and other global leading firms.
Under these circumstances, Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun, Ltd. organized the first "Smart Grid Exhibition" and "Automotive Next Industry Fair" in June 2010. It could achieve a remarkable success by attracting 186 exhibitors and more than 38,000 visitors. More realistic business exchanges may be taken place at the second show. These fairs will be great opportunities to propose new and excellent technologies/services. We sincerely look forward your participation to the show.
