As Abu Dhabi accelerates toward the UAE Net Zero 2050 goals, the need for smarter, cleaner, and more efficient infrastructure continues to grow. Buildings and industrial facilities account for a significant share of the emirate's energy consumption and emissions, making retrofits, renewable integration, and advanced energy management increasingly critical.
Led by the Abu Dhabi Department of Energy and TAQA Energy Services, initiatives such as the Energy Efficiency Accelerators in the Industrial Sector, the Abu Dhabi Energy and Water Efficiency Strategy 2030, and the Building Retrofit Programme are driving this transition forward.
The 6th RetrofitTech Buildings & Industrial Innovation Abu Dhabi Summit, taking place on 23 - 24 June 2026, will highlight a series of new projects scheduled for implementation from 2026 to 2030, along with key policies and programmes driving energy efficiency across commercial, government, and industrial sectors.
