The Polymer Processing Society (PPS) was founded in March 1982 at the University of Akron, Akron, Ohio, USA. The intent was to provide a mechanism and format for interaction and presentation of reseach resuts in the international polymer processing community.
Every year, the society holds two conferences: One regional and one annual which is the major conference of the society. The location of the annual conference alternates among the three major geographic locations: Asia/Australia, Americas and Europe/Africa. The regional conferences are held in continents where the annual conference is not scheduled.
