The 13th IEEE World Forum on the Internet of Things (WF-IoT 2027) will take place in person in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, on July 26-29, 2027. Held in Calgary for the first time, the forum welcomes original research and practical insights into the technologies, applications, and societal impacts of the Internet of Things.
This year's theme, Internet of Agents, explores the shift from connected devices to connected, autonomous agents. Embedded in sensors, machines, vehicles, and infrastructure, these AI agents can perceive, reason, coordinate, and act on behalf of people and organizations. WF-IoT 2027 invites contributions on the technologies, protocols, trust foundations, and applications that enable devices and agents to collaborate safely, efficiently, and at scale.
The technical scope spans agentic AI and 6G, sensing and communication, edge intelligence, security and privacy, sustainable IoT, robotics, healthcare, and industrial applications. Original technical papers and presentations may address theoretical foundations, operational considerations, experimentation, and lessons from deployments, as well as the effects of IoT on consumers, researchers, public institutions, and industry.
