The Dubai International Food Safety Conference and Exhibition is organized by the Food Safety Department of Dubai Municipality. This is one of the biggest food safety events in the world and the annual gathering features scientific sessions and symposia, workshops, poster presentations and special programs tailored for food regulators, food industry professionals, researchers and students. Over 3,500 delegates from across the globe are expected to attend the conference in 2024, representing a diverse range of stakeholders including the food industry, universities and research organizations, laboratories, training providers, certification bodies, technology service providers and regulatory agencies. Through this meeting, Dubai provides a unique platform for knowledge exchange, collaboration, and the development of innovative solutions to ensure the future of safe and sustainable food systems.
In the past 18 years, the Dubai International Food Safety Conference has achieved exceptional success, further reinforcing its position as a leading global platform for exchanging experiences, knowledge and innovations all of which are essential to advance food safety and reduce the burden of foodborne illnesses. This year's theme, "Future Foresight in Food Safety," underscores the importance of proactive identification and mitigation of food safety and challenges and threats. The conference will feature symposia, workshops, and an exhibition all geared towards exploring various drivers shaping the future of food safety.
The conference is organized in collaboration with the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), International Association for Food Protection (IAFP), National Environmental Health Association (NEHA), International Federation of Environmental Health (IFEH), International Commission on Microbiological Specifications for Foods (ICMSF), International Union for Food Science and Technology (IUFoST), Global Food Regulatory Society (GFoRSS) and International Association for Supply Chain Safety (ENFIT).
