The different discussions around climate change and energy security have shown the importance of the introduction of new energy sources and the development and management of existing ones. The challenge of the coming years will be to identify innovations that will make a difference, how to implement them and, even more so, to understand what will be the disruptive developments in this field.
This year's Forum will address these questions in a real multi-stakeholder environment with decision makers from governments, regulators, investors, financial institutions, business and NGOs, and a special emphasis on business from utility, energy, renewable energy, infrastructure companies and future energy consultancies. The Forum will allow these groups to explore potentials and discuss the crucial ingredients to make this happen.
Alongside the conference will be an international Cleantech exhibition where we are looking for companies who have 'Cutting Edge' ideas and technology to present their products and services. This is an opportunity for you to meet government decision makers, industry leaders, consultants, advisors, investors, purchasers and journalists.
Within the Cleantech Exhibition programme there will also be opportunities for visitors to the exhibition to attend knowledge transfer sessions related to Energy Efficiency. Subjects for debate are likely to include:
•Reducing the dependence on fossil fuels through energy efficiency in cities and transport - what are the latest cutting edge ideas and solutions? How do we practically implement through town planning and retrofitting?
•How do we plan and fund low carbon transport alternatives with incentives that will encourage public use?
•Lessons to be learnt from Masdar City, the Swiss Minergie Project and other case studies
If you are a business or an organisation that has solutions and business opportunities for the renewable energy or environmental technology market then this is a unique chance for you to present your products and services to an international market who are looking to invest.
