Each year the Global AirRail conference and the Global AirRail Awards attract airrail professionals from all over the world.
Global AirRail events are dedicated to the growing passenger intermodality segment between air and rail, whether it's physical infrastructure integration, innovations in travel booking and planning, improving passenger experience, or forming new partnerships between the two industries.
In Spring 2015, Metrolinx will launch Union Pearson Express (UP Express) as Canada's first dedicated airport express rail service. UP Express will transform the way people travel between Canada's two busiest transportation hubs: Toronto Pearson International Airport and Union Station. Travellers will be connected to Toronto's downtown core and Toronto Pearson quickly, reliably, conveniently and comfortably. A one-way trip in a relaxing and stress-free atmosphere will take 25 minutes, with trains departing every 15 minutes.
Metrolinx, the regional transportation agency for the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area, is building transit to get people moving and has 200 projects underway.
