The triennial World Petroleum Congress is the oil and gas industry's largest and most prestigious international event. Known as "the Olympics of the oil and gas sector".
As a result of recent developments in the world, energy security has taken a place at the top of the global agenda. Stability, security and sustainability are at the core of energy policies; and cooperation among producer, consumer and transit countries, along with oil and gas pipelines are of great importance for achieving and maintaining global energy security. World Petroleum Council is to develop and enhance the global relations and cooperation in issues related to oil and gas.
