The Moroccan International Agricultural Show (SIAM) raked in 700,000 visitors in 2013 and this year hopes to build on its success with some one million attendees.'The ninth edition of the sector leader in Africa opens on April 24 in Meknes in northern Morocco, and will include a packed schedule of events, awards, and conferences, including meetings for those working in the field and others open to the public.
About a thousand exhibitors have registered to take part and fifty countries will be represented. The European Union is the guest of honor at this year's event. In the 2013 edition there was a growing number of participants'-'14% more than the year before'-'and 16 conventions were signed. However, the organizers are hoping to do even better this time.
