The food industry in Uzbekistan is based on local agriculture produce processing. According to estimation of Association of Fat-and-Oil and Food Industry the growth rates of industrial products is 117,6% against last year andÂ'in producing of consumer products -118%. The good perspectives are in such directions as producing of baby food, dry breakfasts, confectionery, cheese and cooked meats. Investment potential of food industry is not less than 200 mln dollars.
