For the last half a century, the Paris International Agricultural Show has been the annual meeting place for all key players in the world of agriculture. It is the flagship event in its sector, not only in France but around the world.
The Show was originally created around the Concours Général Agricole (General Agricultural Competition) for Animals. Later it grew, reflecting the changes in French agriculture each year.
It now attracts 1,300 exhibitors from 22 countries, and over 4,000 animals. The event is particularly popular with the public, who visit in large numbers.
