WESTEC is Evolving in 2012 to Drive West Coast Sales West Coast manufacturing relies on WESTEC as the premier venue for buyer and seller interaction in the manufacturing industry. The current economic climate doesn't change that fact. The Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) recently announced that WESTEC will become a biennial event. The long-time exposition, which has served as the definitive event for West Coast manufacturers, will alternate years with SME's new AeroDef Manufacturing event. WESTEC 2012 will take place March 27-29, 2012 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
