CECE started in 2004 as a friendly meeting of colleagues from Prague, Vienna, Bratislava, and Brno. Today, CECE aims at bringing in distinguished scientists to present the newest trends in their research fields. Since the oral presentations are by invitation only, CECE aims at bringing the newest, cutting-edge science to Brno, getting together scientists who don't meet very often and creating an informal atmosphere to promote new ideas and help to establish new partnerships.
Since 2012 a one-day section CECE Junior has been added to the program with oral presentations of young scientists. While the main target audiences are graduate students and young scientists, it is never too late to learn something new and we encourage all our colleagues to come and see the presentations. Both the CECE and CECE Junior share a common poster section open to all participants.
