The main objective of the IDE 2015 is again to discuss on an international level the state of the art of understanding basic mechanisms and interactions between different production steps leading to distortion and the measures to control changes in shape and dimensions including modelling and simulation in industrial production processes. Of interest are production processes of metallic parts (manufactured by casting, forming, additive manufacturing, machining operations, and heat treatment or thermal joining operations) and of polymer, fibre-reinforced polymer, and ceramic components.
