Constroi Angola Growing
More than 300 brands were represented at Constroi Angola 2010. Many of these exhibitors have been participating regularly over the past years. With over 15,000 visitors the exhibition attracted again more visitors than the previous edition.
Business Opportunities in Angola
In the next years, investment volume in Angola is expected to remain the highest for any country on the African continent. Since the end of the civil war, billions of dollars have been flowing into reconstruction efforts, including an increasingly wide range of projects that emphasize infrastructure and housing.
The Ministry of Public Works has released two billion dollars for road and bridge construction.
Several 100 Mio US-$ will be invested for improvement of the railroad system between the country's most important harbours. Investment volume in residential construction is also high and subject of economic development programs. The goal is to complete one million new residential units in Angola by the year 2012.
To encourage foreign investors, an "Investment Commission" has the task to reform regulations of taxes and customs - a move which, above all, shall bring benefits to the industries of construction materials and building machinery.
