Following successful conference on natural organic matter, held in Tokyo (Japan) held on the 7-10 October 2019, the 8th International Water Association (IWA) specialist conference on natural organic matter (NOM8) will be held in Boksburg (South Africa) back to back with the Particle Separation Conference as from the 3rd December to 8th December 2023.
The conference will provide a platform to share the latest scientific and practical knowledge on natural organic matter in diverse water environments, drinking water, wastewater, and recycled water. The particle conference will begin on Wednesday afternoon and end on the Friday, with overlapping sessions between the two conferences on the Wednesday. The particle conference will cover advances in particle science and characterization as well as basic mechanisms of particle separation processes, the occurrence of, and changes in, natural and synthetic nano- and micro-particles in surface waters and wastewaters and their impact on treatment processes. Progress in particle removal technologies, such as coagulation, flocculation, sedimentation, flotation, filtration and membrane processes will also be discussed. Topics such as emerging technologies for particle removal will be discussed. Participation of all professionals and engineers in different sectors are welcome.
