Target Audience
This program is designed for multidisciplinary burn professionals including but not limited to physicians, nurses, physicians assistants, nurse practitioners, physical therapists, occupational therapists, residents, fellows, social workers, case managers, psychologists, nutritionists, burn technicians, students, pharmacists, firefighters, education outreach personnel and other members of the burn care team.?
Gap Needs
Providing a therapeutic and functional recovery after a burn injury requires thorough understanding and implementation of current medical practices beginning at the onset of injury and throughout the rehabilitation process. There is a need for greater education of treatments and processes which can facilitate in the healing after a burn injury. The purpose of this conference is education. The topics discussed at this conference are intended to increase the knowledge base for the interdisciplinary burn team members, to better equip them in caring for burn patients. The views and approaches of faculty are offered solely for educational purposes.
