Over 25 years ago, the SC Section of the American Water Works Association (SCAWWA) and the Water Environment Association of SC (WEASC) collaborated to host the first South Carolina Environmental Conference (SCEC). Approximately 800 water and wastewater professionals converged that year and planted a seed. In 2016, the record was broken when over 1,600 professionals were in attendance, cementing that fact that this one of the largest water conferences in the Southeast.
