CIM's highly acclaimed M4S exhibition is in its eleventh year of educating the general public about mining and its impact on our daily lives. The 4 M's stand for Mines, Minerals, Metals and Materials. This exhibition is provided free of charge to school groups as well as members of the general public. It can accommodate several visiting groups at a time and transportation assistance can be provided to schools who wish to attend but cannot afford the transportation.
M4S is also the place people come to learn about the wide variety of exciting careers in this industry. By highlighting the opportunities and dispelling the myths today, we can help secure a robust future for the industry for the generations to come. Our industry is facing a human resources shortage.
Over the next decade, 100,000 jobs will need to be filled Canada-wide. Attendance to M4S has been growing every year. Feedback from both attendees and participants has been consistently and enthusiastically positive. We invite you to be a part of this exciting and rewarding venture where the public comes to learn about the positive side of mining.
