3D Printing for Plastics Processors will explore how 3D printing systems can be used for production of essential manufacturing tools such as robot grippers and end-of-arm tooling (EOAT), as wll as for measurement gauges and cooling jigs. It will examine the latest developments in the use of 3D printed mould tools for short run production. And it will consider the use of metal additive manufacturing technologies in high performance tooling.
The conference will also explore opportunities for 3D printing to be used as a complementary manufacturing tool to create complex or customised features on plastics components. To that end, it will look at the development of new 3D print polymers that can extend thermal and mechanical performance. And, of course, it will also cover new innovations for prototyping and design development.
