Change is afoot in the Colombian mining sector as the new National Mining Agency is unveiled and the Government makes concerted efforts to improve the efficiency with which permit applications are processed and environmental licenses are awarded. These developments are particularly relevant for the growth of Colombia's metallurgical coal operations and will be at the forefront of the 3rd Coaltrans Colombia.
Improving Colombia's internal infrastructure and port capacity is crucial for Colombia's coking coal to be able to reach the international markets.
