MAPLA 2012 is organised to offer a forum which allows dialogue and technical interaction amongst mining equipment maintenance professionals.
Nowadays, the concept of maintenance is evolving from just being a cost centre to being an activity which contributes to the improvement of productivity by supporting operations and therefore, it is a key factor to maintain the competitiveness within the mining industry. This evolving process requires: the transformation in the implementation of the maintenance tasks; the development of new techniques and tools; a mindset change regarding this activity and the integration of suplementary disciplines.
