The 2nd World Irrigation Forum (WIF2) will be hosted at Chiang Mai city, Thailand from 6-12 November 2016 on the theme Water management in a changing World: Role of Irrigation in Sustainable Food Production with three sub-themes: (i) Key actors in balancing water, food, energy and ecology; (ii) Management of climatic extremes with focus on floods and droughts; and (iii) Key and smart actions to alleviate hunger and poverty through irrigation and drainage.
