IONS KOALA is the Conference on Optics, Atoms and Laser Applications (KOALA) held annually in Australia and New Zealand as well as an International OSA Network of Students (IONS) conference sponsored by The Optical Society (OSA). IONS KOALA 2017 is being co-hosted by the OSA student chapters at the University of'Queensland and Griffith University. With the support of many fantastic organisations, our goal is to bring together a large groups of Honours, Masters and PhD students currently conducting research in any field of optics, atoms and laser applications in Australia, New Zealand and the world.
