The activities of the VGB member companies, which are summarized under the term "IT security", have been an integral part of the operative and strategic business activities for several years. The VGB members are aware of their responsibility to provide system-critical services with their systems and take the topic of IT security very seriously.
The 1st "IT security for energy systems" conference held in 2021 showed great interest on the part of the operators and the need to continue to deal with the exchange of experiences in a separate conference. The focus should be on the concrete implementation of the legal and regulatory requirements from the point of view of the plant operator and an early discussion about new requirements should be made possible.
In addition, manufacturers and service providers are invited to discuss their products and services with plant operators, to present new developments and to tackle joint fields of action.
