With abundant resources, advanced infrastructure, and strong financial and policy backing, they have a competitive edge in adapting to global energy trends while also reducing their carbon footprint. Continued investment in renewable energy, hydrogen, and CCUS will further solidify their leadership in the transition to a low-carbon economy.
Whether it's 2030 in Saudi, 2040 in Oman, or 2050 in the UAE, by embracing their respective national visions, the regional downstream sector can maintain profitability and resilience while playing a crucial role in both, the energy transition and economic diversification.
Against this backdrop, leaders from the refining and petrochemical industries will gather in Al Khobar, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, on 20-22 October 2025, for the 5th edition of ESF MENA - Middle East Energy & Sustainability Forum, the only event in the Middle East dedicated to sustainability and the decarbonisation of the downstream sector.
