It has been decided that the 20th International Symposium on Silicon Chemistry (ISOS-20) will be held in Hiroshima from May 12th to 17th, 2024. This international Symposium is held once every three years and will be its third time in Japan.
The number of participants is around 400, from over 12 countries. The MICE Promotion Department has supported the local chairperson since 2019. Research achievements on silicon in Japan, including Hiroshima University have played an important role in Hiroshima being chosen as the host city. Also the International Conference Center Hiroshima was highly praised for being an environment suitable for holding international events, one where you can get closer to history and culture. We will continue to provide a full range of support with the health and safety of participants as our first priority, while paying close attention to the effects of COVID-19 infection.
