International Geological Congress (IGC) is being hosted jointly by the Ministry of Mines (MoM) and Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES), Government of India with active support from Indian National Science Academy (INSA) and assistance from Science academies of co-host neighboring countries. The Geological Survey of India has been designated as the nodal organization for the event.
36th IGC is in the process of developing field trips across the Indian subcontinent to showcase the Indian geological superlatives, especially the ones that have global appeal or importance.
