According to UN comtrade - United Nations Commodity Trade Statistics Database, West African food imports, in 2010, have reached 8.69 billion US$, compared to 8.26 billion US$ in 2009, a plus of 5.3%. The figures comprise 9 West African countries, namely Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Cote d'Ivoire, The Gambia, Ghana, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal and Togo. food + hospitality West Africa is being organized as the 1st International Trade Show on Food, Beverages & Hospitality. The event targets to become the major platform for West African and international food producers and food traders, both exporters and importers.
