Agriculture & Food Expo Harbin is a major part of a project by the Harbin Municipal Government to establish Harbin into a business center for the food and agriculture industry in the next five years along with the concurrent World Agriculture Development Forum and the Agriculture Development Center in downtown Harbin.
In view of the lack of an international trading and showcase platform in the region and the importance and scale of the industry, the exhibition is graded as a top event by the Harbin government.
