Welcome to the Fifth International Dam World Conference (DW2025), an international gathering of a prestigious series of conferences on Dam Engineering. This series of conferences started in 2012. The first event was held in Maceió, Brazil, following Lisbon, Portugal in 2015 and Foz do Iguacu, Brazil, in 2018.
After the Webinar online in 2020, during the pandemic crisis, we now have the privilege to host the Dam Word Conference Series once again in person, from April 13th to 17th, 2025, in Lisboa, Portugal.
The DW2025 conference theme is "Preserving life through dams" and we plan to go above and beyond your expectations. Our DW2025 conference vision is to discuss current problems, challenges and solutions faced by dam engineering. DW2025 aims to be a forum for the dissemination of the latest scientific and technical developments of this important engineering sector, and for exchanging valuable expertise between the delegates from all over the world.
The DW2025 conference, in addition to technical sessions, will comprise Keynote Lectures by renowned experts, an invited Country Session, Pre-Conference One-Day Courses of great importance to professional practice, and Special Sessions dedicated to topics of delegates' interest. Site Visits of technical and cultural relevance will be also organized to enrich the DW 2025 experience.
