The CEA, Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission, in collaboration with its partners organizes the next Joint International Conference on Supercomputing in Nuclear Applications + Monte Carlo (SNA + MC): SNA + MC2024 in Paris, France from October 2024, 20 to 24.
In addition to promoting the advances in the traditional topics of the conference, encompassing super-computing for nuclear applications and Monte Carlo simulation, SNA + MC2024 will also emphasize novel subjects with strong scientific, technological and societal stakes: the recent breakthroughs in High Performance Computing, environmental issues and energy transition.
The topics selected for the previous SNA + MC2020 edition (planned in Chiba, Japan, in 2020) will also contribute to the technical program of SNA + MC2024. In this respect, we gratefully acknowledge the enormous efforts of our Japanese colleagues and conference committee members who have undertaken the publication of the associated conference proceedings, despite the pandemic.
CEA is part of the Paris-Saclay University, a cutting-edge R&D pole in France for pure and applied science, fostered by the high density of state-of-the-art scientific facilities and industrial laboratories. CEA has already organized the previous editions of SNA + MC in 2003 and 2013, and is honoured to welcome SNA + MC2024, in the spirit of promoting once again fruitful scientific exchanges within and between the international communities in the various domains covered by the conference.
