Sustainability is at the heart of Saudi Arabia's Saudi Vision 2030 - Ambitious and expansive projects by the Saudi National Energy Services Company (Tarshid) have caused the country to race towards incorporating energy efficiency and renewable energy into the country's energy mix.
Tarshid is now actively working hard to serve the strategic sustainability goal of the Kingdom which is part of Vision 2030; which aims to achieve significant energy savings and reduce carbon emissions. Since establishment in 2017, Tarshid has achieved a reduction of 5.5 terawatt-hours per year across multiple projects.
As the emphasis on sustainable development and energy efficiency grows in the Kingdom several new retrofit projects are being undertaken, additionally new build is being developed with legacy systems to ensure buildings are adaptable as technology evolves. As KSA strengthens its position as a leader in the space of energy efficiency in the region, projects like NEOM are testament to the country's true commitment to net-zero.
The 8th Sustainable Buildings and RetrofitTech Saudi Summit taking place on 21 - 22 October 2024 in Riyadh will bring together the most important stakeholders across various sectors to discuss the exciting developments underway in the country.
