The CANSO Global ATM Summit and 23rd Annual General Meeting is CANSO's flagship Member event that brings together over 200 global leaders from across the ATM industry. CANSO Members are invited to use this forum to discuss vital issues and projects, steering the course for the future. The CANSO Global ATM Summit and 23rd Annual General Meeting will be held 17-19 June 2019, hosted by skyguide in stunning Geneva.
The theme of this years' CANSO Global ATM Summit will be Partnerships and successes in ATM - delivering our future skies today. The programme will offer thought-leadership from keynote speakers Alexandre de Juniac, Director General, International Air Transport Association (IATA) and Angela Gittens, Director General, ACI World (ACI), followed by a panel discussion on how IATA/airlines, ACI/airports and CANSO/ATM can advance their collaboration in cohesive partnerships that are genuinely driven from shared data, collaborative decision-making and a common sense of purpose. What practical steps and commitments are needed for the future?
Furthermore, the CANSO Global ATM Summit will focus on significant success stories of CANSO Members. Air traffic management is subject to some criticism for capacity issues (congestion, delays and disruptions) and for operational and cost inefficiencies. Yet an enormous amount of good work is being undertaken by CANSO Members to improve safety, capacity, traffic flows and cost efficiency. In Geneva, this good work will be highlighted by presenting a selection of initiatives from CANSO Members which individually and together provide the best possible view of progress and success across the broad spectrum of ATM today. One of the presented success stories will be further celebrated as the winner of the first CANSO Award of Excellence in ATM.
