The Surface Warships & OPV International Conference has developed a reputation for bringing together military, procurement agency, government, support, and industry to engage in productive face-face discussion.
Surface Warships & OPV International shall examine the key questions in this space, providing insight from across the international community. With a wide breadth of attendance from many Heads of Navy, Fleet Commanders, Coast Guard Chiefs, and government organisations, Surface Warships & OPV International facilitates conversations between those at the top-level of decision making and those that can enhance future capability, underpinning the significance of international collaboration through the exchange of ideas.
Over the three days of conferencing, the Surface Warships & OPV International's programme will focus on current and future threats, technological development, deployment of uncrewed systems, and anticipated platform modernisation and acquisition. This shall endeavour to answer the central questions: what shall the future force structure look like and how can current, and future platforms deliver additional capability to meet shifting threats in the maritime domain?
With maritime security being routinely challenged by peer threats to NATO and partner states, this year's conference comes at a critical time. Freedom of navigation, international maritime trade and protection of sovereignty show that navies and coast guards must be prepared to meet conflict situations, as well as asymmetric threats.
