hip in is the most important international congress in the field of microelectronics and microtechnologies held annually in Brazil and in 2023 will take place in Rio de Janeiro, the iconic city of the country, with breathtaking landscapes, resuming its face-to-face format.
Chip in Rio 2023 encompasses five different events, namely: 37th Symposium on Microelectronics Technology and Devices - SBMicro 2023, 36th Symposium on Integrated Circuits and Systems Design - SBCCI 2023, 7th International Symposium on Instrumentation Systems, Circuits and Transducers - INSCIT 2023, Workshop on Circuits and Systems Design WCAS 2023 e 23rd Student Forum - SForum 2023. They form the largest forum in Latin America for discussions and debates in those fields, ranging from conception, design, processing, and modelling of devices and systems to characterization of integrated circuits, sensors, actuators, microstructures, instrumentation, as well as, product development.
The congress will involve a technology fair, tutorial presentations, plenary talks, oral and poster contributions, and different outreaching activities, in particular, attracting young pupils from local schools. Special emphasis will be given to the role of women in science. An exhibition and different workshops are planned in the venues Museu de Arte do Rio and Museu do Amanha.
