Global energy and commodity price reporting agency Argus invites all interested market participants to attend its second Argus Dry Bulk Transportation and Logistics international conference, which takes place in Gelendzhik, Russia, on 25-26 September 2019.
The conference is one in a series of events that Argus has developed to serve those industries that require information and insight on the transportation, storage and other logistics operations associated with raw materials. This event will focus on the Azov-Black Sea region, which determines the forum's location, in Gelendzhik. This will allow participants to visit the new OTEKO dry cargo transshipment complex in the port of Taman, in addition to benefiting from an extensive business programme.
A number of key topics are highlighted against the backdrop of the current market situation and the developed transportation system in Russia's Black Sea region. The conference provides a platform for participants to discuss the existing port infrastructure of the Azov-Black Sea basin, with particular focus on the prospects for development of the coal market as one of the key large export products. This will include assessing how to optimise the cost structure of coal exports and searching for effective logistic solutions that will allow exporters to maintain profitability in the global market against a background of sharp price fluctuations.
The conference will also consider exports of mineral fertilizers and sulphur, which play an equally important role for the transshipment complexes in the Black Sea region.
