The International Federation of Sports Medicine (FIMS) World Congress of Sports Medicine, FIMS is home to four Continental Sports Medicine Associations and 120 National Sports Medicine Associations worldwide, uniting sports medicine physicians from 120 different countries.
The main purpose of FIMS is to Foster the study and development of sports medicine throughout the world, protect physical and mental health, and ensure the well-being of all those playing sports and exercising; as well as to help athletes achieve an optimum performance, maximizing their genetic potential, health, nutrition, as well as to guarantee access to high-quality healthcare and training.
