After Posdam in 2022, l'Institut Agro Rennes-Angers, in collaboration with INRAE, will welcome in Rennes (France) the 18th Congress of the European Society for Agronomy (ESA) from Monday 26 August (evening) to Friday 30 August 2024.
ESA is an international, interdisciplinary network of researchers working on a wide range of subjects, from plant sciences to soil ecology, mitigation of nutrient losses, agricultural management and design of cropping systems.
The upcoming congress will explore:
Synergies between different approaches and technologies (slow, low and high technologies) to scale up innovative cropping systems and transform agricultural systems,
Synergies between ecologists (soil, plant functional ecology, etc.), geneticists, ecophysiologists and agronomists to better understand ecological interactions in farmlands,
Synergies between short- and long-term issues,
Synergies between researchers, farmers and society,
Innovations for our common future.
