It is our great honor and delight to welcome you to the 15th Pacific Rim Conference of Ceramic Societies (PACRIM15), which will be hosted in the vibrant city of Shenzhen, China. The PACRIM is a bi-annual conference held in collaboration with the ceramic societies of the Pacific Rim countries - The Chinese Ceramic Society, The American Ceramic Society, The Ceramic Society of Japan, The Korean Ceramic Society, and the Australian Ceramic Society. PACRIM7 was successfully hosted in Shanghai, China, in 2007. After 16 years, we are very exciting that it again returns to China for the 15th PacRim conference. This time, PACRIM15 will share this grand event, exciting moments, and conference venue with the 13th International Conference on High-Performance Ceramics (CICC-13).
The PACRIM15 & CICC-13 will continue the tradition of excellence by offering a comprehensive technical program covering a diverse array of topics that address global challenges and opportunities in the field of ceramic technologies. We are certain that this program will ignite stimulating discussions about the future of ceramics science and engineering.
In this conference, you will also have the opportunity to engage in thought-provoking conversations and build lasting friendships with participants from various continents. Our Plenary Session on Monday morning will feature renowned keynote speakers, including experts like Rajendra K. Bordia, Clemson University, Hideo Hosono, Tokyo Institute of Technology, Shaoming Dong, Shanghai Institute of Ceramics, Hui-Suk Yun, Korea Institute of Materials Science, and Steven J. Zinkle, University of Tennessee. The talks will center around the theme of advanced ceramic materials and manufacturing technologies.
PACRIM15 & CICC-13 also includes 29 symposia covers a wide range of exciting and emerging topics that includes advanced modeling, simulation, and characterization; novel and strategic processing and manufacturing; advanced structural ceramics for extreme environments; low dimensional and nanoceramics; functional ceramics for energy systems and sensing devices; ceramics for environmental systems; and biomaterials, biomimetics and bioinspired ceramics, etc. Please refer to the symposium section of this program for all the details.
