SAE COMVEC is the only North American forum which addresses vehicles and equipment spanning the on-highway, off-highway, agricultural, construction, industrial, military and mining sectors. While the majority of the content covers trucks, the need to reduce CO2 emissions and improve vehicle efficiencies for fuel savings is what drives the research and technology across all of these noted sectors and, in turn, supplies topics/presentations for COMVEC programming. Improvements in internal combustion engines, new powertrains options (e.g. hybrids, electric and natural gas), autonomous vehicles and fuel efficiencies gained through aerodynamics, braking, platooning are all important topics to be organized in the schedule. Business topics are covered in executive panels and keynotes, while technical topics are covered in symposia and published paper presentations.
