Maritime Week Americas 2023 will take place in the heart of New Orleans, Louisiana, one of the most exhilarating and colourful cities in the Americas. Located right on the Mississippi River, which stretches over 2,300 miles from northern Minnesota to the Gulf of Mexico, New Orleans is world famous for its round-the-clock nightlife, vibrant live-music scene and unique cuisine which reflects its history as a melting pot of French, African and American cultures.
The New Orleans edition of Maritime Week Americas will be focused on traditional fuels as well as new and emerging fuels and technologies, an area that everyone in the shipping and bunkering sectors is now having to embrace as international regulations and consumer demand ratchet up the pressure on shipowners and charterers to reduce emissions and run on 'greener' more sustainable fuels. LNG, biofuels and other new fuels will be examined, as will the emerging supply infrastructure across the Americas and take up on the demand side.
