The fourteenth edition of VDW is finally here! Focused on design and innovation, this edition will present ideas and projects from a worldwide pool of designers, while at the same time giving fertile soil to local crafts and culture. For this year, the theme chosen is Synesthesia, introducing the public to the universe of possibilities where stimuli coming from our senses co-participate in giving a well rounded perceptive experience.'The 2023 edition presents projects by designers who play with our senses, and lead us to explore unexpected emotions.
Divided in thematic exhibitions, talks, guided tours and workshops, this edition will feature a wide array of initiatives and projects.
The Path of Light, a stable of our initiative, wil put in the forefront lighting as a concept, through special lighting installations all throughout Venice's historic center, including projects by Leo de Carlo in collaboration with Multiforme Lighting.
The Path of the Jewel will focus instead on jewelry, leading the visitor through various exhibitions, as well as inviting the public and the collaborators to a metaphorical and actual dialogue with artisans and goldsmiths from Venice proper, helped by the synesthetic path that will marvel visitors. The routes will be available to the public and described in the guide that will be distributed by tourist offices and in the online map, as well as the paperversion'that will be available in various locations and hotels in Venice.
