Welcome to Battery Recycling Europe 2027, taking place in London on the 14th - 15th April 2027. Bringing together senior representatives from across the battery value chain, the Summit will examine what it will actually take to build a competitive, resilient and genuinely circular battery recycling industry in Europe.
Europe's ambitions for battery circularity are growing, but delivering them at industrial scale presents a far more complex challenge. Recycling facilities must move successfully from pilot to plant, investment needs to remain viable despite squeezed margins and volatile material values, and capacity decisions must account for limited feedstock today alongside the much larger wave of end-of-life batteries expected in the future. At the same time, changing battery chemistries - particularly the growth of LFP - are reshaping recycling economics and forcing the industry to reconsider where future value will come from.
Across two days of presentations, industry-led sessions and panel discussions, Battery Recycling Europe 2027 will explore the practical issues determining the next phase of the market. Discussions will examine how Europe can close its recycling scale gap, build safety into every stage of the battery recycling chain, navigate evolving rules around black mass, traceability and material flows, and prepare infrastructure for tomorrow's increasingly diverse battery waste stream. The programme will also look beyond black mass towards high-value material recovery and genuine closed-loop circularity, while considering the role of reuse and second life within a functioning battery ecosystem.
The Summit is designed to connect recyclers, battery and automotive companies, technology providers, collection and waste-management specialists, policymakers, investors, consultants and other key industry stakeholders. With a strong emphasis on real-world implementation, commercial viability and lessons from projects already moving towards industrial scale, the event provides an opportunity to challenge assumptions, share practical experience and develop the partnerships needed to turn Europe's circular battery ambitions into operating reality.
