The 9th IEEE Conference on Network Functions Virtualization and Software-Defined Networking (IEEE NFV-SDN 2023) will be an in-person event in 2023. The conference will be from 7-9 November 2023 in Dresden, Germany.
In 2023, IEEE NFV-SDN conference will focus on the foundation, design, verification, operation, security, and evolution of virtualized network functions, with the current emphasis on Cloud Native CNFs in addition to the more traditional VNFs. Additionally of interest includes advances in SDN concepts. Performance, manageability and more recently the implications of energy consumption continue to be active areas as well as the virtualization efforts going on in the radio and the management of the radio using AI/ML.
In addition, the 2023 conference includes the investigation of the relationship Beyond 5G/6G networks and transmission technologies will have with applications within the NFV architectural concepts. Special interest will be given to how Beyond 5G/6G applications are designed, orchestrated, and managed by NFV mechanisms and VNFs. IEEE NFV-SDN 2023 continues as the premier IEEE event on the latest NFV and SDN concepts and mechanisms.
